Fleet Dispatcher / Maintenance Coordinator

Tradelink is a cross-border transportation startup transforming the international transportation of specialized loads. We are simplifying cross-border transportation of oversize and overweight freight by providing simple transportation solutions to our customers' complex needs. To keep improving the transportation industry we are looking for a Fleet Dispatcher/Maintenance Coordinator to join the team.
About you:
  • You're an excellent communicator in both English and Spanish.

  • Chaos does not scare you because you are a master at creating structure for disorder. 
Some of the stuff you will do:
  • Communicate with drivers on a daily basis to schedule pickup and delivery appointments for shipments offered by our customers.
  • Utilize load board search engines to keep drivers moving.
  • Prepare driver paperwork for cross-border shipments.
  • Coordinate with external carriers to get regular updates and provide feedback to international customers.
  • Communicate with departments of transportation of multiple states to generate routes and permits for oversize and overweight loads.
  • Arrange pilot cars for specialized loads to meet delivery appointments.
  • Keep track of equipment loaned to external carriers and communicate with their personnel to make sure it is returned in proper condition.
  • Schedule routine maintenance for trucks and trailers.
  • Search and program road services for unexpected road issues to get trucks back running in a timely fashion.
  • Structure a maintenance log to account for equipment maintenance that complies with federal regulations.
Your experience:
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) required.
  • 0-1 years of experience in logistics or transportation preferred.
  • Strong work ethic, proactive, and a positive attitude.
  • Good at organizing and managing multiple tasks, while keeping strong attention to detail.
  • Effective and precise written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to solve problems and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Basic computer and data-entry experience.
  • Knowledge working with Google Drive and Google Sheets is preferred.
